Lulusar Lake, Babusar Top and Jalkhbad are some of the famous tourist spots in Pakistan visited by locals and foreigners alike. Lulusar Lake is the biggest natural lake situated in Hazara and the main source for River Kunhar. A preferred camping site for nature enthusiasts and adventure seekers.
Hundreds of tourist were banned from visiting Lulusar Lake, Babusar Top and Jalkhad, a popular picnic and camping site for many. According to the hotel owners situated nearby professed, that the police asked tourists to remain in Naran and Saiful Malook Lake. Tourists from all over Pakistan wanted to visit Lulusar Lake, Babusar Top and Jalkhbad before the winter season started. The areas are known for its awe inspiring beauty and scenery. Journalists have reported that the people were clueless as to why the places were banned by the police.
However, further investigation by the officials reported that the police forces were concerned about the security after the wooden bridge collapsed in Battakundi. Around 45 to 50 police personnel deployed in the areas were removed after the incident. With no security measures, communication problems and lack of police forces there of, led to the decision of banning the famous tourist spots.
The close down and ban on tourists is temporary until the bridge and the police posts are restored. The police headquarters have reported that following the bridge collapse has endangered the lives of not only the personnel but also the people visiting these areas. However, with alternative arrangements in place, Lulusar Lake, Babusar Top and Jalkhbad will be accessible in a few days.
