Pakistan Super League Final in Lahore

If there is one thing Pakistani’s are known for, it is there tremendous love for cricket. From adrenaline filled die hard fans to enthusiastic supporters, the stadium is filled with people united under one anthem, that is, supporting their favorite team. Pakistan Super League is one such event that brings together people to celebrate their never ending love for cricket!

Pakistan Super League 2017 Final will be held in Lahore. As confirmed by the ecstatic Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif, on 27th February 2017.

The match is scheduled on 5th March and the tickets are readily available online from tomorrow. You can also purchase tickets from assigned outlets available from 1st March. With security arrangements in place the finale will be played at Gaddafi Stadium where the Zimbabwe Vs Pakistan ODI match 2015 took place.

The Punjab government has taken security measures and has readily deployed the army that has extended their full support.  The Pakistan Super League chairman, Najam Sethi has expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming match:

“It has been heartwarming to see the dedication of all the owners to the cause of taking cricket back home,”

“There is a realisation that this final will be the first step in opening the gates to international teams starting to make the journey again. We are all committed to this mission and wish to have a thoroughly entertaining final where it should happen – in Lahore.”

Remember the exciting 2015 Zimbabwe Vs Pakistan match?! The cricket game held in Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore was attended by fans with full vigor and enthusiasm. Pakistan clinched the one-day international series against Zimbabwe after a comfortable six-wicket win. The star player Sikandar Raza played beautifully, finishing up unbeaten on 100 from 84 balls.

Event Update

The first team to play for the finals is the glorious Quetta Gladiators. The team has arrived for PSL final in Lahore. However, three international players have bowed out from the team, Kevin Pietersen, Tymal Mills and Luke Wright with a heavy heart.

Quetta Gladiators qualified for the finals on Tuesday after conquering Peshawar Zalmi by one run.
