Good news for adrenaline junkies! The world’s fastest and highest roller coaster “Formula Rossa” is coming to Europe. Ferrari Land Park in Barcelona, Spain will feature this thrill seeking high-on-adrenaline ride by April 2017. The roller coaster will feature a vertical accelerator that will take riders up to 367 feet and plunge down at a 90 degree angle.
To provide riders with the ultimate experience and sensation of driving a formula race one car, the roller coaster rides at a speed of 180 kilometers per hour or 111 miles per hour. The upcoming Ferrari Land Park will also feature other thrilling attractions including two ‘bounce back’ free fall towers, which will launch passengers in two directions from a height of 55 meters. For more entertainment, adventure seekers will find various other rides including a formula race one simulators and race track.
The new theme park is inspired by the success of Ferrari World in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates which attracts approximately 4 million visitors every year. Around €100 million has been invested and the park will be spread across 15 acres of land. The park is for all ages, where even the youngest members of the family can discover the legendary spirit of Ferrari. The park will also include famous historical and architectural monuments including the Colosseum in Rome and the Piazza San Marco in Venice. Besides, the Italian themed restaurants and a building based on the real factory owned by Enzo Ferrari adds to the excitement.
The park already features an adventure and water park surrounded by five themed hotels offering 2100 rooms for their visitors and tourists. This will be the second Ferrari themed park opening in Spain. It is reported that a third Ferrari World park will open in China and a fourth park will open in North America.
